Geologist Andrea Taurisano describes on the L.Camera Blog why people, rather than landscapes, are his preferred photographic subject.
Taurisano's fascination for the medium of photography was inspired by his father, who kept a continuous photographic record of family life, filling album after album. This eventually led to Taurisano taking up photography as well.
Ten years ago, the geologist realised his dream of emigrating to Norway in order to explore the Arctic, Greenland and Antarctica. On the L. Camera Blog, he talks about his progression from landscapes to documentary photography, and shares his thoughts on working with a Leica.
