Architecture in focus

Given out every two years by the German non-profit organisation Architekturbild, the award this year was themed "Im Brennpunkt | Focus of Attention".

The competition drew 175 participants from 14 countries, with Architekturbild awarding three prizes, three distinctions and 22 honours. The exhibition comprises of four context-related photographs by each winner, chosen for their technical excellence, inspiration and originality.

The selected photographs are a representation of architectural photography today – illustrating that, far from being restricted to a precise reproduction of buildings, the genre also involves emotion, reflection and creative vision.
