A solo exhibition by the Swiss-Italian photographer will be showing at the CWC GALLERY in Berlin from 22 November 2013 to 22 February 2014
Berlin's CWC GALLERY presents the first German solo exhibition by Christian Tagliavini. Comprising of the world-famous "1503" and the more recent series "Carte", the exhibition celebrates two of Tagliavini's most exciting and well-known creative projects.

"1503"
With his series "1503", the photographer takes the viewer on a journey to the 16th century. The universal artist took a determining role in all aspects of the project – from casting the models to designing and producing the costumes and creating the make-up. The result is a project whose individual creative strands culminate into an extraordinary piece of photographic art.

"Carte"
Completed in 2012, the series "Carte" also plays on the rich symbolism found in the imagery of cultural history. To create a variety of oversized playing cards, the artist placed his models within self-created, laser-cut costumes made of paper and cardboard – resulting in a fascinating visual interplay between the cardboard props and three-dimensional models.
