The Biel/Bienne Festival of Photography traces the evolution of photography from the Camera Obscura to our digital age of social networks, virtual games and augmented reality. This year’s edition revolves around the topic of of saturation in our modern lives.
Under the title of Flood, the 2019 festival presents photographic works that investigate themes such as excesses in the private sphere, political over-saturation, our obsession with technology, and our exploitation of the world’s vital resources for the sake of consumerism.
