The CWC GALLERY in Berlin is pleased to present the exhibition Andy Warhol: Fantastic! – a group show featuring works by more than 20 international photography artists who have collaborated with Andy Warhol in the past. With a display of over 80 portraits featuring Andy Warhol, the exhibition offers rare insights into the personality of the legendary artist, who ranks among the leading pop art pioneers.
The selection covers a broad spectrum of genres and approaches – ranging from Ron Galella’s famous paparazzi images to spectacular visual orchestrations by Carl Fischer, all the way to the conceptual projects of Christopher Makos, whose multi-layered series ‘Altered Image’ references Dadaism and explores themes of identity and gender. Each exhibit, whether it is a series or a single image, represents a fascinating fragment of the extraordinary artist’s life.
