WATER - PART 2

March 28, 2014

From March 29 to May 24, 2014, the Galerie Springer in Berlin is presenting the second part of Edward Burtynsky's project
The Galerie Springer in Berlin is presenting the second part of Water, an exhibition of works by Edward Burtynsky, which is primarily made up of as yet unpublished images from his Water series.

Burtynsky already began to plan the project back in 2007. Water shows the degree and impact of industry and consumption on our water resources.

At the same time, Burtynsky also documents the different roles that water plays in our modern lifestyle – as the original, yet endangered, source of a healthy ecosystem, as a key element in culture and religious rituals, and as a raw material that is dangerously and quickly being exhausted.

In addition to striking, the photographs create a captivating global portrait that illustrates the past, present and future relationship between man and nature, and the most important of resources, water.
