From 6 September to 26 October 2013, the Gagosian Gallery in London will be showing the exhibition "Women" by Richard Avedon (1923-2004), one of the most influential fashion photographers of all time.
Avedon studied philosophy at Columbia University, New York, and served in the photography department of the U.S. Merchant Marines, before studying photography with Alexey Brodovitch at the New School for Social Research, New York.
Richard Avedon'a revolutionary images have shaped fashion photography to this day. The Gagosian Gallery has been presenting his life's work since 2011.
