Share:

Photojournalist Sebastian Liste is set to receive the ‘City Of Perpignan Rémi Ochlik Award’ at this year’s ‘Visa pour l’image’ Festival. The name of the award – which was originally called ‘Young Reporter of  Perpignan Award’ – was changed this year in memory of photojournalist Rémi Ochlik, who was killed in Syria.

Nominated: ‘Urban Quilombo’
From December 2009 to March 2011, Sebastian Liste documented the lives of a community in Brazil who had settled in an abandoned chocolate factory, being faced with issues of poverty, drugs and prostitution. The intensly striking black and white images will be exhibited in Perpignan throughout the Festival .

The internationally acclaimed Festival for Photojournalism ‘Visa pour l’image’ takes place from 1st to 16th September 2012 in Perpignan, France.
