This year’s European Architectural Photography Award has been granted to the photographer duo Frank Bayh and Steff Rosenberger-Ochs of Stuttgart.
The first Architectural Photography Award in the world was organized for the first time in 2005 by the non-profit Architekturbild e.V.. In 2008 it entered into a collaboration with the German Architectural Museum in Frankfurt am Main. The theme for the 2013 award was “Focus of Attention”.
175 participants from around the world submitted works, from which the jury awarded the first prize to the picture series “The development of new districts in the heart of the city”. The photographers Frank Bayh & Steff Rosenberger-Ochs managed to turn the protests against the new train station in Stuttgart into a universally-valid statement.
The award ceremony and opening event take place on Friday, May 3, 2013, at 7pm at the German Architectural Museum in Frankfurt.
The corresponding exhibition runs from May 4 to June 16, 2013.
