The Leica Galerie Wetzlar will be inaugurated within the framework of the festivities marking the opening of the Leitz Park. In celebration of the centenary of Leica Fotografie, the gallery will present a special exhibition. 10×10 is a project where forward-looking, contemporary photography is closely linked to the past.
Ten photographers (Dominic Nahr, Julia Baier, Evgenia Arbugaeva, Craig Semetko, Kirill Golovchenko, Amedeo M. Turello, Alec Soth, Jing Huang, Thomas Ruff and Saga Sig), each presenting ten pictures, entered into a creative dialogue with the great masters of Leica history and their photographic works.
The 10×10 exhibition will be on display at the Leica Galerie Wetzlar in the Leitz Park up until September 2014. The gallery is open Mondays to Fridays from 8am to 6pm, as well as Saturdays from 9am to 12 midday. Entry is free.
LFI has published a special edition catalogue to accompany the exhibition. It can be ordered at the LFI shop.
