From May 7 to June 5, 2016, the Galleria Carla Sozzani in Milan is presenting last year’s World Press Photo Award winners.
This year, the jury selected over 40 photographers in the following categories: Spot News, General News, Contemporary Issues, Daily Life, Portraits, Nature, Sports and Long-term Projects. The overall winner of the 59th edition of the World Press Photo Award is Warren Richardson (*1968) with his black and white picture Hope for a New Life.
The winning pictures will be presented in around 100 cities and over 40 countries throughout the next twelve months.
