Submissions for this year’s Women Photograph grants are now open – apply until May 15!
The 2021 Women Photograph grant cycle is now open. Once again, the organisation will award a total of five grants (worth $5,000 each) to women photographers. At least one of the grants has been earmarked for a nonbinary or transgender photographer.
The initiative seeks to support photography projects (either new or in progress) created by visual journalists working in a documentary capacity. Applicants are encouraged to enter stories, rather than single images. However, the submitted work need not be related to the proposed project. Multimedia projects are welcome.
Leica photographer Nina Berman will be among the jury members for this year’s Women Photograph grant cycle – along with Sana Ullah (National Geographic Society), Katherine Pomerantz (Time), photographer Miora Rajaonary, and John Edwin Mason (Women Photograph).
