The 34th Leitz Photographica Auction takes place at Leitz-Park in Wetzlar on 8 June 2019.
The recently renamed Leitz Photographica Auction House is set to host its 34th camera auction. The event, which will be held at Leica World in Leitz-Park, Wetzlar, takes place on 8 June 2019 from 11.00 to 17.00.

Photography enthusiasts and potential bidders can look forward to an array of exclusive collectors’ items from the history of the Leitz / Leica brand. The event is accompanied by a rotating exhibition dedicated to the topic of auctions. The showcase, which is presented at the World of Leica Experience in Leitz-Park, will also include several cameras that will be offered at the 34th auction.

Particular highlights include a black-paint Leica MP-2 (auction estimate: 400,000–500,000 euros), the first M camera with electric motor drive, built in the late 1950s. The famous Leica M3 with the serial number 700005 will also be on offer (auction estimate: 300,000–400,000 euros). It is the fifth Leica M model to have been produced, and counts as the best-preserved example of the early M series. Having been privately owned for the past 40 years, the camera is in perfect, original condition.

All auction lots can be previewed on 6 and 7 June 2019 (10.00 to 17.00) at Leica World, Leitz-Park.
