For the ninth time, the Urban Photo Awards are organised in collaboration with the Italian cultural association dotART. The competition is open to photographers from all around the world. Submissions close on 31 May 2018. An expert jury, headed by Tatsuo Suzuki, will subsequently select the best entries during the Trieste Photo Days.
The winning works will be showcased in several touring exhibitions across Italy, Germany and numerous East-European countries. Last year’s competition yielded 800 winning images, which were showcased in a total of 36 exhibitions.
The competition is divided into two categories – single images, and portfolios. Single images must address the urban space: this can be anything along the lines of street photography, architecture, urban art, people or animals within a city environment. The portfolio category, on the other hand, is not limited to any specific theme.
