Don't delay now: professional photographers still have up until October 31, 2014 to send in their application for the Tim Hetherington Grant.

Every year the 20,000 euro grant supports photo projects dealing with human rights. It is named after Tim Hetherington, the photo journalist and documentary film maker who was killed in 2011, in Misrata, Libya.

Tim Hetherington won the 2007 World Press Photo Award. The Tim Hetherington Grant is jointly awarded by World Press Photo and Human Rights Watch, supported by Hetherington's parents, Alastair and Judith Hetherington.

The recipient of last year's grant was Olivier Jobard. His Dream of a Rain of Perfume series documents the journey of two young Afghans who fled to Europe escaping from the Taliban.
