The series by photographer Stefan Moses (1928 - 2018) even captured the imagination of Germany’s legendary humorist, Loriot, who wrote: “With a gentle hand, he accompanies this delicate co-existence, with no concern for good and evil, tragedy or comedy. In every image, he tells a story from the Circus of Lost Paradise – perhaps in the hope that one day, man and animal will jump through the hoops together. Stefan Moses has the psychological and hypnotic ability to re-connect people and their fellow vertebrates with their long-lost, natural state.”
