From September 25 to November 22, 2015, the Stadtmuseum Schleswig is presenting, in collaboration with the Focus photo and press agency and the magazine GEO, 'Amazing Africa', a selection of impressive photographs by Pascal Maitre. The exhibition comes to Schleswig from Paris, and is the first stop on its German tour.

Grandiose colour images
The French photographer has been travelling throughout the fascinating, contrast-rich continent for over thirty years, taking pictures for the great magazines of the world, always searching for the authentic, hidden core of Africa. Maitre's touching, colourful images taken in 13 African countries, reveal a broad range of themes, in a world where unequalled suffering and a captivating, overflowing joy of life are indivisibly bound together.

Highlights in words and images
On September 25, 2015, at 7pm, the world-renowned photographer will be present in the town to talk about his work. The event will take place at the Festsaal of the new Danish College (A. P. Møller-Skolen) in the Auf der Freiheit district.
