Andy Summers - The Bones of Chuang Tzu

April 19, 2018

On 18 April, photographer and Police-guitarist Andy Summers personally introduces his new photo project, The Bones of Chuang Tzu at the Leica Store in San Francisco.
Andy Summers rose to fame in the 1970s and 1980s as lead guitarist of the rock band The Police. However, the musician is also a passionate photographer. After years of documenting life on tour with bandmates Sting and Stewart Copeland, his latest project, The Bones of Chuang Tzu, is centred around Summers’ personal interpretation of China. The series – captured in different parts of the country spanning from Shanghai to Tibet – will be on display at the gallery space of the Leica Store San Francisco from 16 April. An accompanying photo book will be released by Steidl Publishers later this year.
