2015 Pulitzer Prize

The winners of this year's Pulitzer Prize have been announced!
The winners of the 99th edition of this, the most important American prize for journalism, were announced yesterday by the Pulitzer School of Journalism at New York's University of Columbia. In addition to the most important prizes for Investigative Journalism, Breaking News Reporting and Public Service, there has also been a Pulitzer Prize for Feature Photography since 1968, and for Breaking News Photography since 2000.

Breaking News Photography
This year's prize goes to the photographers of the regional newspaper, the St. Louis Post for their pictures of the disturbances in Ferguson, after a black youth was shot dead by a white policeman.

Feature Photography
The Prize for Feature Photography goes to the freelance, Australian photographer Daniel Berehulak, for his photo reportage on the Ebola epidemic in Western Africa for the New York Times.

The prize money amounts to 10,000 US dollars per category.
