Prix Elysée 2020 – Shortlist

The eight projects nominated for this year’s Prix Elysée have been announced.
The shortlist for the Prix Elysée 2020 has been revealed – this year’s nominees are Alexa Brunet, photographer duo Arguiñe Escandón and Yann Gross, Magali Koenig, Thomas Mailaender, Moises Saman, Assaf Shoshan, Alys Tomlinson, and Kurt Tong.

The eight, very different projects – whose themes range from rituals, identity and migration all the way to Homer’s Odyssey – were chosen from a pool of 255 entries from more than 50 countries. Each nominee stands to receive 5,000 Swiss Francs (approx. 4,600 Euros). All shortlisted projects will be featured in a book publication due to be released in January 2021. The winner of the Prix Elysée, who will be announced in June 2021, stands to receive 80,000 Swiss Francs (around 75,000 Euros) to complete his or her project, which will subsequently be published in the form of a book.
