Entries for the prestigious Bayeux Calvados-Normandy Award for War Correspondents are accepted until June 15, 2020. The competition is divided into seven categories: Written Press, Radio, Television, Photo, Grand Format Television, Young Reporter and Video Image. The first five categories offer prizes of € 7,000, while the winners of the latter two stand to receive € 3,000 each.
Three special prizes will also be awarded - the Ouest-France Jean Marin Prize (written press, € 4,000), as well as the Public Prize (photo) and the Normandy Region Secondary School Students’ Prize (television), both worth € 3,000 each.
This year’s jury is chaired by renowned British journalist Ed Vulliamy. The winning works will be exhibited in Bayeux, Northern France, from October 5 to 11, 2020 as part of a week-long event centred around the grand award ceremony.
