PIRELLI CALENDAR 2015

November 19, 2014

The 42nd edition of the Pirelli Calendar has been revealed, featuring images by fashion photographer Steven Meisel.
On Tuesday 18 November, the Pirelli Calendar 2015 was introduced to the media, invited guests and collectors from around the world. The event took place at the Hangar Bicocca, Pirelli's contemporary art space in Milan.

The calendar's 42nd edition was created by Steven Meisel, one of the world's most successful fashion photographers. All images were shot in his New York studio. In this series, Meisel addresses many of the key aesthetic reference points of our time, from advertising icons and stars of the silver screen to the explicit and unbridled nature of fashion – once again demonstrating his great skill of transforming his photographic subjects.

He was assisted by a styling team led by Carine Roitfeld, former editor of Vogue France and long-time beacon of the fashion industry, and Pat McGrath, one of the world’s most acclaimed make-up artists.

The launch is closely followed by the exhibition Forma e DesiderioThe Cal Collezione Pirelli, which opens at the Palazzo Reale in Milan on 21 November. Spanning fifty years of photographs from the Pirelli Calendar archive, the exhibition will continue until 19 February 2015.
