COVID-19 Open Call

Inspired by Alessia Glaviano’s daily Instagram posts, sharing visual impressions of Italy’s humanitarian situation, the photography platforms Picter and Der Greif have gathered a group of influential practitioners and organisations in contemporary visual culture.
Together with Vogue Italia and Magnum Photos they call on photographers to submit works on the topic ‘When I becomes we...’ until April 3, 2020. The jury consists of Gita Cooper-van Ingen and Simon Lovermann (Der Greif, Picter), Giada de Agostinis (freelance photo editor), Alessia Glaviano, Chiara Bardelli Nonnino and Francesca Marani (Vogue Italia) and Milena Carstens (ZEITmagazin).
A selection of the submitted projects will be published on Der Greif, Vogue.it and on the Picter blog. In addition, works will be shown at the Photo Vogue Festival, which is supposed to take place in November 2020 in Milan on the theme of ‘All in this together’.
If you’re fast and submit your entry by March 25, 2020 midnight, you’ll automatically apply for a portfolio section in the April issue of Vogue Italia in which the experiences with quarantine around the world are presented.
