Last Call

For the first time, the organisers of Cologne’s Photoszene Festival have issued an Open Call that will culminate in a group exhibition at the upcoming edition in May 2023. Submissions are open until December 31, 2022.

Under the heading of ‘Photography in Progress’, Photoszene Köln shines a light on contemporary photography, whose changing production methods are giving rise to entirely new forms of visual expression and areas of application. The contest also seeks to explore how artistic approaches might be influenced by ever-evolving digital imaging practices.

The organisers are hoping for a multi-faceted pool of entries by artists working with photography in the broadest sense. A jury will review the submitted works, and compile the selection for a group exhibition at the Photoszene Festival in May 2023. Entries are accepted until 31 December, 2022 (23:59 CET).
