Photography on the Left Bank of the Seine

November 7, 2018

The ‘Photo St. Germain’ festival takes place in Paris from 7 to 24 November 2018.
The seventh edition of ‘Photo St. Germain' takes place in Paris from 7 to 24 November 2018. In the course of the festival, venues such as museums, galleries, cultural centres and book shops located on the Rive-Gauche (the left bank of the Seine) create an exciting world of photography. 36 exhibitions with works by 60 artists will be on display in the Parisian quarter of St. Germain. The Académie des Beaux-Arts will show the series ‘Une odyssée sibérienne’ by French photographer Claudine Doury, which was the winning project at the 1999 Leica Oskar Barnack Award. Also represented is the renowned Italian Leica photographer Gianni Berengo Gardin (member of the Leica Hall of Fame and winner of the 1994 Leica Oskar Barnack Award), whose exhibition ‘in festa’ will be displayed at the Italian Cultural Institute. The comprehensive festival programme also includes additional events such as artist talks, projections and signing sessions.
