Photobook Awards 2015
The competition is organised by the international art fair Paris Photo together with the Aperture Foundation.
The Photobook Award is divided into three categories:
The First Photo Book Prize
The 10,000 US-dollar prize will be awarded to the artist(s) whose first finished, publicly available photobook is judged to be the best of the year. Twenty books from this category will be selected for the shortlist, presented to the jury for the final selection, and exhibited as part of Paris Photo.
The Photo Book of the Year Prize
This prize will be awarded to the artist(s) and publisher responsible for the photobook judged to be the best of the year. Ten books from this category will be selected for the shortlist, presented to the jury for the final selection, and exhibited as part of Paris Photo.
The Photography Catalogue of the Year Prize
This prize honours the best exhibition catalogue or museum publication of the year, its publisher and/or the institution responsible for its release. Five books from this category will be selected for the shortlist, presented to the jury for the final selection and exhibited as part of Paris Photo.
