The Baudoin Lebon Gallery in Paris presents works by Patrick Willocq. Titled "I am Walé Respect Me – Forever Walé Walé, 2nd Look", the exhibition is open from 28 May to 1 August 2015.
On 27 May 2015, the Baudoin Lebon Gallery in Paris invites visitors to the opening reception of "I am Walé Respect me – Forever Walé Walé, 2nd Look" – an exhibition of works by Patrick Willocq.

Rite of Passage becomes Visual Art
The French photographer, who lived in Central Africa's Congo Republic for seven years, has created a powerful record of a ritual practised by the Congo's Econda Pygmies: intensive colour photographs capture the rite of passage new mothers undergo following the birth of their first child.

His series "I am Walé Respect Me" was shortlisted for last year's Leica Oskar Barnack Award, and is featured in the Oskar Barnack Award special edition of LFI, available from our online shop.
The exhibition at the Baudoin Lebon Gallery includes previously unpublished images from the series.
