Pierre Even in Paris

January 14, 2016

From 14 January to 2 April 2016, the Leica Espace Photographique in Paris presents the work of French photographer Pierre Even.
Works by Pierre Even will be showing at the Espace Photographique in Paris from 14 January to 2 April. Under the title of 'Eden', the exhibition explores the wild and moon-like landscapes of Lanzarote – distilled into large-format black and white images. Even's calm, almost contemplative style is inspired by American photography of the 1930s.
On the island of Lanzarote, Magma in all shades of black has carved its way through the landscape. Every now and again, a rare plant will grow out of the volcanic soil – a quiet testament to nature's defiance.
