A showcase of works by multi-award-winning photographer Pascal Maitre will be displayed at the Le Photojournalisme exhibition space of the La Grande Arche complex in Paris from 7 July to 11 October 2018.
Pascal Maitre (b. 1955) has been a reportage photographer since 1979. His work frequently took him to the world’s war and crisis zones, where he photographed for magazines such as Geo, Le Figaro, L’Express and Stern.
Now, for the first time in his remarkable career, the French photographer presents an overview of his work in the form of an exhibition: Seulement Humains encompasses 150 photographs, divided into geography-based categories. Naturally, the showcase includes images taken in Africa – the continent that has deeply impacted Maitre’s work for the past twenty years.
