Pour mémoire, an exhibition of works by Guillaume Herbaut, will be presented in the exceptional exhibition space “L’Arche du Photojournalisme” at the top of the Grande Arche de La Defense in Paris. Whether Chernobyl, Auschwitz or Nagasaki, the French photographer seeks out traces of the past, his images revealing dramas hidden until now. Free of any kind of cynicism, but with a fine sense for the absurd and tragicomic moments, Herbaut documents places laden with history.
Guillaume Herbaut was a finalist for the 2016 Leica Oskar Barnack Award for his Ukraine: Maidan to Donbass series.
