PhotoBrussels – Open Call

The Hangar Photo Art Center – organisers of the PhotoBrussels Festival – have launched an Open Call in collaboration with Leica France. Up until October 20, 2021, photographers are invited to enter an original, unpublished project that revolves around the topic, ‘In the Shadow of Trees’.

The submitted works should be a conscious reflection on the meaning of forests and trees – both in terms of their presence in our landscapes, and with regards to their cultural, mystical and ecological significance.

The winning series will be presented at the 6th edition of PhotoBrussels (scheduled for January 21 to March 26, 2022), accompanied by an exhibition catalogue. The showcase-related production costs will be covered by the organisers. In addition, a Leica camera (Leica Q2) will be offered for the “Coup de Coeur Leica”.
