Submissions for the Leica Oskar Barnack Prize 2015 are now open.
Professional photographers and newcomers are invited to apply for the Leica Oskar Barnack Award 2015. The prize money for this year's main category award has been increased to an unprecedented 25,000 euros. In addition, the winner also receives camera equipment from the Leica M System to the value of 10,000 euros.

As well as the main category prize, the competition also offers a Newcomer Award for promising photographers up to the age of 25. The winner stands to receive 5,000 euros along with a Leica rangefinder camera with lens.

All registration documents and rules of participation can be found at www.leica-oskar-barnack-award.com. Online applications open today at 12.00 MET, and close on 1 March 2015.

The best entries will be presented online from 1 April 2015. The awards ceremony will be held as part of the photo festival Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie, which takes place in Arles, South of France, from 6 to 12 July 2015.

A special edition LFI will once again accompany the award, offering in-depth information and extensive features on the winning and shortlisted series.
