Erwin Olaf: Volume II
On December 10, the Dutch photographer Erwin Olaf will be signing his new book Volume II, the sequel to the 2008 Aperture best seller Erwin Olaf.
This stylish monograph is a presentation of Olaf's exceptional photographs. With beautiful colours or contrasting black and white, the images give rise to a melancholic atmosphere, while telling mysterious and incomplete stories.
Erwin Olaf (born 1959) is a Dutch photographer who is known for his considered, stylized compositions, that are quite often provocative, dealing with social problems or taboos.
Olaf has received many awards and recognitions, including the Johannes Vermeer Award (2011), Lucie Award (2008) and Photographer of the Year at The International Color Awards (2006).
