Foam Talents in New York

March 21, 2019

For the third year, Foam returns to Red Hook Labs in Brooklyn, New York to present the group exhibition ‘Foam Talent’, open from 22 March to 10 April 2019.
The annual Foam Talent Call is an international search for exceptionally talented photographers under the age of 35. The final selection of twenty outstanding artists represents a new generation of progressive image-makers willing to push the boundaries of the photographic medium. Topics include geological phenomena as well as a spectrum of emotions and states of mind. Archival material continues to play an important role in many of the submissions, as does the impact of complex socio-political developments on our daily lives – with abstract explorations being displayed alongside more traditional styles of photography.

The Foam Talents 2019 are: Florian Amoser (Switzerland), He Bo (China), Valentine Bo (Ukraine), Chen Zhe (China), Maisie Cousins (United Kingdom), Sylvain Couzinet-Jacques (France), Durimel (France), Sophie Gabrielle (Australia), Eric Gyamfi (Ghana), Thomas Hauser (France), Gregory Eddi Jones (USA), Stelios Kallinikou (Cyprus), Takashi Kawashima (Japan), Dima Komarov (Russia), Lilly Lulay (Germany), Jaya Pelupessy (Netherlands), Daniel Shea (USA), Senta Simond (Switzerland), Salvatore Vitale (Italy) and Carmen Winant (USA).
