From May 10 to June 21, 2015, Schloss Neuhardenberg is presenting Polnische Küste (Polish coastline), an exhibition of photographs by Lukas Fischer. Resulting from a trip along the Polish Baltic Sea coastline, Fischer's work weaves his subjective images into a melancholic and solitary tapestry.

Images organized into tableaus
Lukas Fischer went on his journey in winter, so as to avoid the influence of tourism in his pictures. He is interested in the people who live in the area, not those who just spend their holidays there. The hustle and bustle of the season is over, normality has returned, and life is imbued with stillness. Ordered into tableaus, the pictures give rise to associative stories that are first formed in the eyes of the beholder. Consequently, the work reflects the eye and perception of the author, and becomes a surface onto which the viewer project his or her own interpretation.
