The work of Uwe Langmann seeks to re-interpret the order of things. In his photographs, landscapes are transformed into shapes and architectural structures, his own vision re-defining the reality of the scene.
He traces a landscape in such a way that its immediate essence is revealed, removing any aspect that might interfere or be at odds with its perfectly formed beauty. With his own perception of the landscape, he creates a new visual reality.
The exhibition
Written in Water offers an overview of Uwe Langmann's most recent works. Visitors will encounter meditative images of perfect forms, whose clearly recognisable visual language entices us to immerse ourselves in another world.
