The Flower Power Generation

January 6, 2018

An exhibition of works by acclaimed photography artist Stefan Moses is showing at the Literaturhaus in Munich until 25 February 2018.
To mark the 90th birthday of Stefan Moses, the Literaturhaus in Munich presents a selection of famous images along with previously unpublished gems from the archives of the acclaimed photography artist. Titled ‘Blumenkinder’ (Flower Power), the exhibition continues until 25 February 2018.

The works on display stem from the artist’s most significant creative period, when he captured scenes in Munich and Berlin during the 1960s that convey the freedom and attitude of a new generation. The images range from art happenings and ecstatic gatherings of followers of the Sannyasin movement, to pictures of young fathers, interior spaces and communal apartments.

At the heart of the presentation are portraits capturing Munich’s youth scene in around 1968, which have never been shown as part of an exhibition. Many of the series on display have not been previously published.
