As Official Photography Partner of Photokina 2016, Leica will be staging the Masters of Photography exhibition at the world photography trade fair.
Every day up until the opening of the Photokina on September 20, we will be presenting one of the pictures series. Today it is Cruis’n Elements by Fred Mortagne.
Fred Mortagne, better known on the scene as French Fred, is a very unique phenomenon in the world of skateboarding photography. While the majority of sports photographers concentrate on athletic achievements and capturing the most spectacular tricks, Mortagne produces a completely different perspective by working exclusively in black and white. For his photo shoot with the Leica SL, Mortagne chose one of Hollywood’s best known movie locations – the industrial canals and concrete of the Los Angeles River.
