Magnum Square Print Sale: from 6 to 10 June 2016, Magnum Photos are offering museum-quality prints for $100
Henri Cartier-Bresson, Leica photographer and co-founder of the Magnum agency, famously coined the term 'the decisive moment'. With the Square Print project, the agency looks back on Cartier-Bresson's far-reaching influence and legacy.
More than sixty Magnum photographers were asked to go through their archives in search of an image which to them (more or less) represents the idea of the decisive moment. The signed and stamped, square-format prints (15x15 cm) will be available to purchase for $100 in the course of a five-day sale.
The participating artists include numerous Leica photographers, among them Patrick Zachmann (M Magazine No. 4), Alex Webb (M Magazine No. 1), David Alan Harvey (M Magazine No. 2), Matt Black (M Magazine No. 3) und Bruce Gilden (M Magazine No. 1).
