From 8 to 11 March 2018, Spain’s capital city will host the first edition of the Madrid Photo Fest. 2000 square metres of exposition space will serve as a platform for networking and inspiration. Photographers and photography enthusiasts can look forward to a rich programme of exhibitions, forums, workshops and talks.
At the heart of the festival is a particular focus on photojournalism. This year’s list of speakers includes Fabio Bucciarelli, Manu Brabo, Diego Ibarra and Guillem Valle, all of whom are members of MeMo (Memory in Motion) – a cooperative aiming to push the limits of visual storytelling. Its headquarters in Turin have evolved into a port of call for freelance journalists from all around the globe who are dedicated to documenting the world’s crisis zones.
LFI will also be represented, with a display designed to introduce the magazine to the festival’s international audience.
