The group exhibition Players, curated by Magnum photographers Martin Parr and Cristina de Middel, is on display in Madrid from 8 May to 16 September. At the heart of the showcase are visual interpretations of the term ‘play’. Around 180 images by 51 Magnum photographers explore the theme in all its facets – covering a broad range of topics, from music to leisure and sports.
The Magnum photo agency is predominantly known for historically significant, often highly dramatic images. With this exhibition, however, Magnum photographers take a carefree look at everyday life. Players is shown as part of the PhotoESPAÑA Festival, which takes place in Madrid for the 20th time. Admission is free.
