Women: Powerful and Powerless

February 16, 2015

A virtual exhibition by international artists, dedicated to the men and women of this world. Continues until 19 July 2015.
Though predominantly focused on depictions of the human body, the Teutloff Photo + Video Collection is never without a political angle. And so the idea was born to create a virtual exhibition in which the collection is approached from a 'female point of view'.

Under the heading of "Women: Powerful and Powerless", the exhibition highlights previously overlooked connections between the works on display and an array of new issues and points of discussion – yet without veering into feminist polemics. This unprecedented take on the collection addresses the fundamental topics of birth, religion, politics, sexuality, beauty and physical protest. The aim is to create a visual manifestation of different ways in which women approach these tools in situations of power or weakness.
