Urs Stahel is the curator for the 6th Mannheim-Ludwigshafen-Heidelberg Photo Festival in 2015
A year before the 6th Mannheim-Ludwigshafen-Heidelberg Photo Festival is due to open, the selection committee has announced that the event will be curated by Urs Stahel.

Urs Stahel was born in Zurich in 1953. He studied German philology, history and philosophy at the University of Zurich. He worked as editor and art critic for feature and art magazines.

Founder of the Winterthur Photo Museum
In 1993, together with Walter Keller and George Reinhart, Stahel founded the Winterthur Photo Museum that, during the twenty years he ran it, became one of the most important homes for photography. Working internationally and specializing in photography, he is today a free-lance curator, author and teacher. Among other things, he is a guest professor at the University of Zurich, an associate professor at the Zurich School of Art, and curator of the new Centre for Industrial Heritage in Bologna, MAST.

Every two years with exhibitions and accompanying events, the Mannheim-Ludwigshafen-Heidelberg Photo Festival presents and encourages discussion on contemporary photographic tendencies, as well as trend-setting approaches to photography.

The theme for the exhibitions will be presented in the spring of 2015.
