The Lugano Photo Days are taking place for the third time in Lugano, Switzerland, from October 17 to 26, 2014. This year's edition of the festival has a number of exhibitions dealing with the country of Ruanda.
Among others, Jan Grarup's Rwanda Genocide with photos dealing with the 1994 genocide will be on display, as will Jonathan Torgovnik's Intended Consequences with portraits of Ruandan children born as a result of their mothers being rape.
In addition to courses on flash photography or how to work with photoshop, photographers such as Didier Ruef, Jan Grarup and Michael Ackerman with be hosting workshops to share their knowledge. Grarup and Ruef both photograph with cameras from the Leica M system.
