On July 17, 2017, at 7pm, the Barbican Centre in London is hosting an Artist Talk on the theme of ‘Magnum Photos Now: Storytelling’.
Magnum photographers describe themselves as a “willful mixture of journalists, artists and storytellers”, who have developed the art of Visual Storytelling over the last seventy years, using their own, unique visual imagery to talk about the world that surrounds them.
During the Artist Talk and based on the idea of the potential possibilities of photography as a narrative, suggestive, informative and communicative medium, author Geoff Dyer and Magnum photographers Patrick Zachmann and Matt Stuart will take a look at the position of photographers as storytellers.
The event will take place within the framework of the Magnum Photos Now programme at the Barbican Centre in London. Further information at: Barbican Centre
