LOBA 2018 – submissions now open!

Entries for this year’s Leica Oscar Barnack Award are being accepted as of today, 1 March 2018.
Starting today, photographers from all around the world are invited to upload their photo series on the subject 'the relationship between man and the environment' for this year’s Leica Oskar Barnack Award. The deadline for submissions is on 5 April 2018. This competition is not limited to images taken with a Leica camera.

The main award winner is set to receive a cash prize of 25.000 euros, along with photography equipment (comprising a Leica M with lens) to the value of 10,000 euros. Furthermore, the winner of the Leica Oskar Barnack Newcomer Award (for photographers under 25) will receive the same camera equipment in addition to a cash prize of 10,000 euros. The competition’s 10 finalists will be awarded 2,500 euros each. In addition, all winners and finalists will be presented in a large exhibition in the fall in Berlin and their work will be published in a LFI Special Edition.
