History and Tradition
The black and white images, taken with an analogue Leica M6, seem to transcend the constraints of time. They serve as a reflection of Egypt's history and traditions, revealing the innermost nature of an ancient culture.
Roaming Photographer
As he does not see himself as a classic photojournalist, Bréard consciously decided that his travels through Egypt would not be to document the political situation or current affairs. Instead, he explored the country as a roaming observer – a drifter with a keen and open eye.
