Sportfoto explores the great narrative of sport, bringing together 20 exhibitions. From 6 September through 4 November, 2018, Lille, France.
Sportfoto is made up of some twenty exhibitions that explore the great narrative of sport while also focusing on the smaller stories found within it. It aims to highlight the artistic dimension of the sporting image, but also the strength of its viewpoint and its ability to tap into our emotions, passion or nostalgia.
Sportfoto is bringing together the work of photographers who marked the first great moments in the history of sports photojournalism and its first icons alongside more contemporary authors, both specialists and non-specialists, who are interested in all its aspects of this theme, including its social dimension.

Featuring: Saâdane Afif, Alain Bujak, David Burnett, Antoine Couvercelle, Tim De Waele, Ken Grant, Laurent Gudin, Harald Hauswald, Jef Geys, Jered Gruber, Xavier Lambours, Samuel Lebon and Elodie Valentin, Bob Martin, Stéphane Meunier, Philippe Montigny, Sergey Novikov, Pauce, Cristina Aldehuela and Jordi Perdigo, Simone Perolari, Gérard Rancinan, Denis Rouvre, Gérard Uféras and the photographers of La Voix du Nord.
