Following the successful completion of the LFI workshop programme for the first half of 2016, the photographers for the second half are now fixed.

It will begin in September with Daniel Etter. With Shaping the Story, the Pulitzer Prize-winner will show participants how to turn photos series into a coherent whole that brings the essence of the work to the point. Etter’s reportage, In Peril on the Sea, appeared in LFI 3/2016.

Julia Baier will run a workshop during RAW Photo Festival in Worpswede, Germany (from September 17 until October 16). The theme for this workshop is the immediate, personal surroundings. Her Wet Wet Wet series appeared in the M Magazine No. 3.

In October Craig Semetko comes to Hamburg. During his workshop, the American will explain what photography means to him, and what he considers the signs that it is time to focus the camera. One of his images appeared in the Lightbox of the M Magazine No. 3.

The final workshop of the year will be run by Tomas van Houtryve. In November, the photojournalist will share with participants how they can stimulate their creativity, and maximise their photographic potential. His Overshadowed by the Mine reportage appeared in the M Magazine No. 4.
