Jacob Aue Sobol in Hamburg

On May 26, 2016, LFI welcomes visitors to its Hamburg headquarters for an Artist Talk with Jacob Aue Sobol. It begins at 19:00. The event, which is open to anyone, precedes a closed-door workshop that will be led by the Magnum photographer.

Jacob Aue Sobol has been travelling. He journeyed through Russia, Mongolia and China aboard the Trans Siberian Railway, and from Denmark to Moscow by car. His pictures are witness to brief but intense encounters along the way.

The Magnum photographer reports on his trip on the Trans Siberian Railway in an LFI blog. In the M Magazine No. 3, you can see his Exploring the Inner Self series: intimate travel photography of the special kind.

The series will also be on display at the LFI Gallery from 26 May to 16 June (presented with the kind support of Hahnemühle).
